Paris is the French capital, It is a mecca for fashion, food, art and culture. The city sits in the river Seine with a population of about 10.5 million. It's places of interest are very well known but its just as enjoyable to spend time at a cafe or restaurant.
We'll be staying right by the central Colonel Fabian, a station on the Paris Metro Line. We're steps away from Canal St. Martin and Buttes-Chaumont Park.
You can take a 15 minute cab ride to The Louvre and Notre Dame, It's another 5 to the Eiffel Tower.
The Eiffel Tower is the most famous monument in Paris. Built in 1889 for the world's fair.
Notre Dame is a medieval Catholic cathedral. While it does have gargoyles, they don't talk like in the Disney movie.
We're also across the street from famous architect Oscar Niemeyer's Communist headquarters.
This piece of Architecture was has a mid century modern feel.
It was designed in 1967 but took until 1981 to complete.
